Happy Monday! This past weekend Austin and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. One week late, but the actual anniversary weekend was much too busy to actually enjoy and celebrate this special occasion. Austin and I decided on no gifts and to just do some fun things around the city to celebrate. Gotta love 3-day weekends! When the time came to hand over our cards, Austin looked suspiciously giddy. I should have known something was up. When I opened my card, I saw a hand sketched drawing of a Sandals resort...surprise we are going to Sandals! This is when I cried, screamed and praised Austin for his incredible drawing skills. Turns out the first "traditional" gift for an anniversary is paper. A pair of plane tickets to the beach will do us just fine if I do say so myself. I am so excited. We went to Sandals St. Lucia for our honeymoon and had a blast...I can't wait to try out another resort. Of course I am already on the lookout for some great pieces to take along! Resort or not, here are some great summer picks! Enjoy!!

Dry Bar | Dry Shampoo Review
I must admit, I don't wash my hair everyday. I actually can stretch it to every 3 days if I am lucky. No judging please. And yes, I do shower. With that being said, I am a dry shampoo junkie. I have about 6 different bottles sitting in my cabinet right now. I know that is a lot but I get nervous taking things back to the store. My biggest issue with dry shampoo is that 90% of them make my hair look white or gray. No thanks! Smell is also a factor. When I heard about Drybar's new product line, I knew I give it a try. I'm obsessed with the Drybar anyways so it wasn't hard to convince me. The adorable packaging doesn't hurt either. But seriously, all sales gimmicks aside, this stuff is amazing. Not only does it NOT turn my hair gray (brunetts you know what I am talking about), but it actually has a nice smell to it. It even adds a little lift to my hair without making it clump or feel icky. For $20 you can't beat that. Sephora is starting to sell Drybar products so if you don't have a Drybar near you, dont fret, you can always pop in to Sephora or order online. I am anxious to try their 3 Day Bender...a little nervous that ...

One year ago I married my best friend. Looking back on these pictures brings tears to my eyes. It was such a perfect day. I think about all of our family and friends who celebrated with us and it truly seems magical. This year has taught me many things. One of those being that cereal is not considered a dinner option...and the importance of organizing my 17 bottles of hair products neatly. But nonetheless, I didn't know life could be so great being married to Austin. I am so thankful for the memories this year has brought and I look forward to what year two of marriage brings for us.

Do In Dallas | Klyde Warren Park
Happy Tuesday friends! I hope your week is off to a great start....I am back to the ole job his week so I am having major withdrawals of sipping coffee, blog reading, and catching up on KKTM. When I was thinking about what to post this morning, I figured I'd brag about this amazing weather we are having down in Dallas. Side Note: We never get to have California weather so I get to be excited when I can. This past weekend the hubs and I decided to take our afternoon outside and enjoy Klyde Warren Park park in Dallas. It is literally sandwiched between a major freeway and right smack dab in the heart of Dallas. The park has a little bit of everything. A huge playground for the kiddos, a dog park for the frenchies pups, and a long line of food trucks just waiting to feed your appetites (I waiting 45 minutes just for a hot dog...worth it). Word on the street is they are even building an outdoor skating rink...so exciting for us Dallas peeps. It's no Central Park, but it suit us Dallas folk just fine.

Pink and White
During our trip to San Francisco last month I had a chance to visit the Forever 21 boutique located in Union Square. The 3-story store was so much more than I imagined. Forever 21 is my favorite store to buy trendy tops or basics. It's cheap and (hate to say it) usually doesn't last too long, but it's great place to get my trend fix. I saw this pink blouse hanging in the window and knew that it belonged in my closet. It is a favorite of mine and the quality is up to par. The options are endless for this baby. After all, who can resist a bright pink blouse?

Hello Friday!
Happy Friday friends! I am especially excited about today because it is the start of my Spring Break. (Can I get an Amen?) I love being a teacher and I sure do love my kiddos but I love me some spring break. I feel like photo above captures the excitement between my coworkers and I perfectly, so I felt it was only fitting. No big plans yet...maybe a little road trip to Austin or San Antonio. All I know is that I am definelty wanting to reeeelax. As far as the weekend goes, we are a tad busy. A little trip to Ft. Worth is in the works to celebrate my 26th birthday with the hubby. Birthday dinner with family and friends is also on the list. I am looking forward to spending some of that birthday cash on this and that…maybe something from here thanks to some fabulous parents who read my blog and know this teacher likes to shop! ...
