I love any excuse to wear layers. The weather in Dallas has been so crazy the past few days so layers is a must. My go to look has been a good button down paired with skinnies, oversized cardigan and a nice stack of arm candy. This turquoise chain is now one of my favorites thanks to Catheryn Ann Designs. Back in 8th grade I tricked my parents into thinking I needed glasses. After many days of convincing, we went to the eye doctor. As you could probably guess, I didn't do to well on my eye exam and ended up "needing" glasses. I was so pumped and thought I looked so cool...until I got massive headaches and my eyes hurt. Bummer!
Well, with all that said you could only imagine how excited I was to find out that Warby Parker was coming to Dallas. If you don't know, Warby Parker is an eyewear company that makes both prescription and non prescription glasses for only $95. They also have an amazing selection of sunglasses too! When you make a purchase they will donate a pair of glasses to someone in need. Awesome! Warby Parker is based in NYC but they are currently touring select cities in their decked out "school bus". I was so excited to hear Dallas was on their list of stops. If you live in the area...go check it out! They leave Dallas tomorrow, Sunday, Jan. 27th. Beauty Talk- Let’s Face It
One thing my mom always taught was to take good care of my skin. Since I can remember, I have always taken the time to take care of my skin and invest in some pricy and not-so-pricy products. Although I was one of those who would wash her face every morning and night, I still would suffer from the occasional blemish. Yuck! I am wanting to start this Monday off with one of my favorite, seriously, designers. I can not tell you how much I love the jewelry from Maya Brenner. They are simple and classic. A great combo in my book! I have been a fan of the monogrammed necklaces, but wanted to find something more dainty and a little less trendy. My husband got me this necklace for Christmas and I have yet to take it off. I love it! I wear it solo or layered with another delicate piece. A Sweet Surprise!
Some of you know that one of my best friends, April, is getting married in June. I have to say that I am pretty excited about this because they are truly great for each other and I set the two of them up (my first success at matchmaker...yes!). Anyways, I got the SWEETEST "will you be my bridesmaid?" card in the mail...EVER. When I opened the package, I was amazed to see the cutest paper dolls holding hands. On each doll had each bridesmaids name on it with coordinating hair color, of course. You think that's great...just wait! On the back of each doll is that bridesmaid's contact info...so handy! I love it so much I thought I needed to share in case any of you are brides to be! Enjoy!!
