Embellished Sweater

Embellished Sweater

There are two things that make my wardrobe complete: soft neutrals and nude pumps. I know I should probably branch out and invite more color into my closet, but I love how nice cream and blush tones can look. This sweater (now on sale!) immediately caught my eye while doing some after Thanksgiving shopping. I loved the color and better yet, those jewels on the shoulder are amazing! Keeping the jewelry simple is key to pulling off an embellished sweater. I threw on my 360 Pearl Studs, my Brandy Pham Bracelets and a braided top knot to keep the look very minimal. See how I styled this sweater with a faux fur vest here. Have a great, Wednesday!      Shop the post: TOPSHOP Embellished Sweater (wanted it to fit like a medium, wearing a size 8, other colors here and here) | Equipment Signature ...

Gray Fringe

Gray Fringe

Cardigans will always be my favorite look for casual wear. Maybe that's the "teacher" in me, but I love the simplicity of an oversized cardigan with a great pair of pants, jewels, and of course shoes! Now this obviously isn't a look I'd rock in the classroom, but it is one I would wear any other time. This Fringed Cardigan (now on sale) from ASOS has been my go look for a casual weekend look. It's super soft and cozy and one that is so easy to wear. I loved pairing it with these boyfriend jeans (similar) and heels. What is your go to look for the weekend?      Shop the Post: ASOS Fringed Cardigan (On Sale! // Wearing a US size 4) | Boyfriend Jeans (old, similar style here) | Charles David Nude Pumps (my fave! And now on sale!) | BaubleBar

Holiday Plaid

Holiday Plaid

Everyone needs that holiday top they can wear from season to season. For me, I can always go to my trustworthy plaid button down. I love the classic red and tan combo, but I couldn't pass up this green version. It just seemed to festive (without being overdone) to pass up. I love that I can wear it tucked in the front or untucked for a "tunic" look. This top will be worn many times throughout winter and I can't wait to pair it with this faux fur vest. How do you style plaid?      Shop the post: Wayf Long Sleeve Plaid Tunic (true to size, wearing a small) | Louise et Cie Brown Over the Knee Boots (my favorite pair, true to size) | J Brand 620 Super Skinny Jeans c/o | Gigi New York Teddie Tote in Stone c/o | Brandy Pham Ella Floating Ring c/o | Karen Walker Super Duper Sunglasses  | Click to Shop | ...

Sweater Weather

Sweater Weather

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Today we are on our way to Austin's Grandmothers house in New Boston, Texas to spend some time with my in-laws for Thanksgiving. We go every year and it's something that we all look forward to! It's just nice to have a couple of days away from the city and relax. We plan to go to the Robertson Farm, play cards, and enjoy some of Grandmothers delicious cooking. Yum! When I started to pack for our trip, I knew I wanted to keep it simple. I am on a "big sweater" kick right now and this MICHAEL Michael Kors Turtleneck Poncho (on sale!) is just what I have been looking for.  It's the perfect length to throw over a pair of leggings or skinny jeans for an easy and casual look. I tossed that in my bag but opted for these black over the knee boots (also on sale) instead. I figured it might be nice to wear flats on such a busy day. I have been so impressed with the MICHAEL Michael Kors collection at Nordstrom that I couldn't turn down this color block sweater too. I love the fit and the quality is top notch. My mom has already commented on how she plans to steal this from me. Ha, we will see about that! Have a great Thanksgiving! xx      Shop the Post MICHAEL Michael Kors Turtleneck Poncho Sweater (on ...

Shop for Good

Shop for Good

It's not everyday that we come across a jewelry brand that uses fashion and design to help others rise above poverty, and also happens to be super adorable. 31 Bits happens to be one of my favorite brands that focuses on giving back. 31 Bits started in Southern California by 5 college students, after founder, Kallie Dovel, traveled to Uganda. There she met women who grew up in a war and had nothing. They were single moms with no education and no job, however they were extremely talented artists who made beads and jewelry daily. Kallie was inspired by the female artisans who made beads out of recycled paper and knew she wanted to figure out a way to help them. The idea quickly became 31 Bits. By helping these women sell their jewelry, they are giving these artists a chance at a fair and consistent income, education and healthcare. They are using fashion to make a difference, and I love them for it!   Shop The Post: 31 Bits Harlow Shimmer Necklace (in gold sparkle) c/o | J Crew Striped Turtleneck (save 30% with code GETFESTIVE) | Shrug is old, similar >> here,

Tan Poncho

Tan Poncho

Happy Friday everyone! It's a happy day indeed because at 3:00 I officially start my "Thanksgiving break". Now before you start rolling your eyes, please note that at this very moment I am teaching 105 *very excited*  students the "Thanksgiving Story" by assembling color coordinated beaded bracelets. Sounds easy right? Jokes aside, I actually love it and truly get excited for this time of year with my kiddos. Now, let's talk about this outfit. When I saw this poncho, I knew it was a sweater I would wear constantly. It is so soft and versatile. I wore it last week with a black turtleneck and black skinnies under it and today I am showing you a more festive way to style this look. I think this would be the perfect Thanksgiving outfit or better yet, just a good one to have in your closet! The Holiday Skirt

The Holiday Skirt

Ever since getting the Nora Skirt from Corilynn, I couldn't wait to wear it. Nothing makes me feel more girly than a classic fitting skirt and a great pair of pumps. This was the perfect look for dinner during our staycation at The Joule. I am new to the brand Corilynn, but after reading up on this amazing company, it was easy to see why they are so popular. Not only do they have beautiful clothing, but it's made incredibly well. Each piece is dreamed, designed, and stitched right here in the USA. I have my eye The Audrey Skirt (love that navy!) and this blouse!     Shop the Post: Corilynn The Nora Skirt (true to size) c/o | Bradamant The Closer BodySuit (true to size) c/o | Tory Burch Robinson Crossbody | Michael Kors Slim ...

Bow Peplum

Bow Peplum

Camilyn Beth has quickly become one of my favorite designers. You may know her for her classic dresses, but I recently fell in love with this bow peplum top. Last weekend, Austin and I went out for a date night and I wore this little number. I love peplums, but I'm always a little hesitant because I worry about the fit and if it will look flattering. Thanks to CB, she helped me find the right size and it was perfect. I kept thinking that with the holidays around the corner, this would make an excellent choice for parties, events or date night! Whether you go dress or top, each Camilyn Beth piece is going to be something that will last and will stand true to it's classic style. \   Shop the Post: Camilyn Beth Bow Peplum ( wearing a size 4, if busty size up) c/o | 7 For All Man Kind Back Denim | Clare Vivier Leopard Clutch | SJP Fawn 100 Pump | Michael Kors
