Camo Scarf
Today I wanted to share one of my go-to looks for Fall. As I've mentioned before, this is the best time to grab those light layers. For us in Dallas, the weather is still somewhat of a mix. It can be hot, but occasionally the nights will get to the low 70's. My classroom is always so cold so I will literally take a cardigan with me everyday but what about throughout the day? How can we still look ready for Fall yet dress appropriately for the weather?
Well my friends at J Crew and Gap sure know whats up. The J Crew Camo Scarf was such a hit last year and you can now find it on sale here. I have worn that scarf so many times and I plan to continue wearing it throughout this season. It's light and airy making it a perfect transition piece. I mix it with almost every color and I loved wearing it with this navy Gap cardigan. I can always trust Gap to have great layering pieces. I'm a teacher, so it's no surprise I love cardigans right? How do layer for Fall?

Tweed Peplum
Fall is easily my favorite time of the year, but I'm finding it a little difficult to enjoy with Dallas temperatures still in the high 80's and 90's. Naturally, I am wanting to gravitate towards heavy layers, moto jackets and scarves but as of now-- it's not happening.
I was pretty surprised to find this Tweed Peplum Jacket from Target. Can you believe it's under 35 bucks? This jacket was the perfect compromise because it's actually pretty thin (not sheer by any means, but it's just not super thick). I wore it with this sleeveless tee and I can't wait to wear it with a long sleeve blouse when it gets cooler.
If your searching for a professional look, I suggest pairing this with a black pencil skirt or a pair of slim fitting slacks. The options are endless with this versatile Fall piece!

Piperlime Collection
When people ask me about online shopping, I always recommend Piperlime. I've shopped with them since I was in college and it's still been one of my go to sites for affordable fashion. Not only do they carry over brands, but they also have some pretty legit sales on a regular basis.
When I was in New York a few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to hear about the new Piperlime Collection. This brand is exclusive to Piperlime and I was pretty impressed. This Gold Print Blouse was a crowd pleaser at fashion week and I now can see why so many girls were swooning over this fall staple. I can't wait to throw this on with a leather skirt or oxblood skinnies.

Pink & Black
As I mentioned last week, I am loving track pants for Fall. Not only are they on point for the season, but so versatile for day to day wear. These track pants from Dress Up Boutique are the perfect option for work or play. The zipper detail and soft texture are just a few of the reasons why I love these pants.
Saturday, I wore this look out to dinner for date night, but Sunday, I threw these suckers back on with slip on flats and a slouchy tee for an afternoon of errands and cleaning the house. I love it! Bag Lady
If you know me, you know I have a thing for bags. It all started when I was six years old. All I wanted for Christmas was this brown leather purse from JCPenny. My family loves to laugh about that Christmas because that purse was all I could talk, think or ask about. Christmas came and Santa delivered. I was the happiest six year old on the block. I sported that purse all day and it never left my shoulder. My mom eventually peeled it off me once I was asleep.
To this day, my family jokes about that purse and loves to give me a hard time about my ever growing purse collection. But who can blame them. A girl knows what she wants!
Fast forward 21 years, and this Cleo Tote by Elaine Turner is a great addition to the collection. My six year old self would be so proud! I love the size and shape. I actually use this for school to carry my laptop, papers and lesson plans. Elaine Turner never disappoints with the quality of her bags and shoes! To see more from her collection, visit here!

Papers in the Park
In my book, weekends are meant for two things: brunch and sleeping in. But now that school is back in session, I have a few more responsibilities. My weekends now mostly consist of getting my grocery shopping done, preparing for blog content, catching up on emails, and grading papers. While grading papers isn't always at the top of my list, (I know my teacher friends totally agree!) I do enjoy grading in an enjoyable environment. Since the weather is getting nice, I plan to spend my weekends outdoors as much as possible.
For my third look with Nine West, Fall was on the brain. During Fall, I love to wear oversized sweaters, skinny jeans and short boots like the Jareth Booties from Nine West. This is one look that will be on heavy rotation this Fall!

Boho Tunic
One of my favorite weekend traditions is brunch. It's something my husband and I started doing when we got married, and it has now become a weekend ritual. This past weekend we went to one of our favorite spots in Dallas, The Bishop Arts District and had an amazing brunch at Oddfellows (huge wait so go early). The weather was surprisingly cool so I threw on this boho tunic (or dress if you size up), skinny jeans, and my trustworthy nude pumps. The perfect combo in my opinion!

Mirrored Aviators
I am happy to see that Mirrored Aviators are making a come back just in time for Spring. I absolutely love wearing them in green, blue or pink hues. I am often wearing black or gray so this is a fun way to add some color to my look without being too much.
Speaking of wearing black, it's no surprise that I'm sporting my favorite neutral again. This twist top is my favorite shirt right now. I usually never wear wrap shirts (fear of being too low!), but I couldn't pass this one up. It's super flattering and great for any occasion. This is definitely something I will be wearing well into Spring.
